Modus
Modus Aedificandi is a new French online platform for inclusive and participatory development of residential real estate. Together with Edyta Augustynowicz, Summum Engineering is developing behind-the-scenes algorithms and optimization routines that calculate possible apartment configurations and assign apartments to the platform’s users based on their preferences.
The platform has been launched in 2022 with the L’Idéal concept in Marseille, aiming to reinvent real estate for the home of tomorrow. L’Idéal, developed by Modus and Sogeprom, is first and foremost an infinite space of possibilities to be defined by its future residents, tailor-made to best suits them. Their personalized and architecturally designed volume is then integrated into the overall building space.
The algorithms that allow for this consist of custom Python scripts that have been written using state-of-the-art scientific libraries written in C, whilst interfacing with PHP code of the platform itself. The website itself is being developed by Tunisian company Systeo, overseen by our client, Modus Aedificandi.
