Invited by Siebe Bakker, Diederik Veenendaal will deliver an inspirational keynote at the Research to Reality conference at Het Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam, along with Rob Henderson of UNStudio. The conference is organized under the auspices of 4TU.Bouw Center of Excellence for the Built Environment, a joint initiative of four universities in the Netherlands: Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, Wageningen University and Research Centre and University of Twente. The Research To Reality event is an annual meeting to share inspiration, experiences and ideas, and to jointly formulate approaches towards the challenges ahead. In addition, a number of ‘Lighthouse Project proposals’ will be granted to participants based upon their presented research proposals. Diederik will give a lecture on his previous work at ETH Zurich as well as the Magnolia Gridshell.
